Iri arrived into our lives at the age of two months; for a short time she has been also our only  borzoi and she helped me so much going over the loss of our Sacha. Iri has been our first and long awaited borzoi bitch; before having her I dreamed about for two years at least. She has been the first in many things we did and learnt about the breed: first showdog, first borzoi bitch.... On April 1997 Iri gave us the wonderful present of our first litter!

Iri was a show quality dog; what I mostly liked  about her was her unmistakable feminine elegance and the true beauty of her head. I'm still waiting to see another borzoi bitch having the same refined and long head. Moreover Iri had  full dentition and a clear scissors bite.

Iri was not a show dog because she thought dog shows were only a nice place to meet other people and dogs and playing with them wagging her never ending superb tail. That's why we haven't shown her so much; in her short and funny career as show dog Iri has been awareded of  2CAC, 1CACIB, 2BOB, 1BOG-3.

In the whelping box Iri has been a perfect mother and a superb brood bitch, giving us our first homebred champion, Netochka Almaska Alyaska.

Iri left us too early and suddendly, as a wonderful dream when the day begins. I refused seeing her without life, so my hearth is still full of the last love sight we gave each other. Iri   still lives with us through the legacy of her daughters and her grandson and grandaughters and we know one day we'll enjoy another little Iri with us.
